Start Here 🎨
New to the club? Read this first.
Hello and welcome to Sunday Art Club! This is a place for inspiration, play, and spending a little quality time with your art.
This post is here to help you get started.
What happens on Sundays?
Every Sunday, you’ll get an email with three art exercises:
5 minutes — a quick warm-up or nudge
20 minutes — enough time to get absorbed
60 minutes — for slow, spacious Sundays
One flows into the next. You can do one, two, all three, or none at all. Think of them as a creative jump start.
Tips
You don’t have to do them on a Sunday (I won’t be checking!)
Enjoying an exercise? Take your time and see if you can turn it into a longer project.
Feel inspired to go in a different direction? Follow your imagination!
No catch up required, the exercises are here when you need them.
Getting Ready
A little prep makes it easier to dive in when Sunday comes around. Let’s think about supplies.
You will need:
A sketchbook or paper
Pencils
You might like to use:
Coloured pencils
Paint (watercolour, gouache and/or acrylic)
Pastels
Ink
Anything else you fancy playing with
Make yourself a little art kit with some basics. Here’s mine…
New Sketchbook
If (like me) you want to start a ‘brand new shiny sketchbook’ to use with Sunday Art Club it can be a bit intimidating to face all those pristine white pages, so…
Open your sketchbook and fill the first page with scribbles, marks, splodges. Phew, it’s not so perfect anymore, we can relax.
You are officially ready!
Remember…
Enjoyment matters more than results. Five minutes is amazing!
I’m really glad you’re here.
See you on Sunday!
Kat ✏️✨
